I still remember that ridiculous claim that because its rna its not possible it can affect dna.
Ignoring the fact that life on this planet likely used rna before dna.
From our knowledge of present-day organisms and the molecules they contain, it seems likely that the development of the directly autocatalytic mechanisms fundamental to living systems began with the evolution of families of molecules that could catalyze their own replication. With time, a family of cooperating RNA catalysts probably developed the ability to direct synthesis of polypeptides. DNA is likely to have been a late addition: as the accumulation of additional protein catalysts allowed more efficient and complex cells to evolve, the DNA double helix replaced RNA as a more stable molecule for storing the increased amounts of genetic information required by such cells.
Obviously there is some kind of reverse transcript type deal going on here, redundant storage prolly. So to say its not possible just shows how ignorant someone is haha.
Saying this in r/conspiracy was responded with plenty of people calling me dumb, the sub is just so fucked.
I was looking the other day 98% of the posts are sitting at 0.... tell me there isnt some serious vote manipulation happening in that sub.
People were happy to discard what they had previously accepted as fact in order to conform. It makes me wonder whether they ever understood the ideas at all or were just good at making it appear they did

Parrots.
