Cars and trucks ( had over 200,000 miles on my last truck and it never needed a tune up)
Tires (needed to replace every 10,000 miles now 50,000 is no problem)
Lots of stuff is better
Cordless tools that are almost on par with corded tools, battery life gets better every year
Tools, cars, and more are moving to a "subscription model" where you have to pay rent to the manufacturer to continue using the thing that you supposedly own. The scope of the subscription model will expand as time goes on. It won't be limited to seat warmers for long.
Furthermore, most of the car industry has pledged to stop making gasoline-powered cars and only make battery electrics, even though they are strictly inferior and there's no way the electric grid could possibly support such a move.

No argument with where things are going. I was just pointing out a few things that are better. To be honest, I couldn't think of anything else
