Your Favorite Reddit App Is About to Shut Down
Reddit has been a popular source for news and community discussions for years, fueled by the wide variety of third-party clients for iPhone, Android, Windows, and other platforms. Unfortunately, that’s now coming to an end.
Reddit was co-opted a while ago. I mean this site is a result of a sub being ruined.
I recall.
The owners of this site said "if you ever get logged out or the website ever changes we have been taken over" then they changed the name to communities.win and shut down theDonald.win a month or so later.
From what I've seen so far, this seems like a more mundane case of a retarded business owner who tried to make money off of something and completely botched it, the vast majority of the english speaking population never goes on reddit, it's not as popular or big as some users seem to believe, especially when accounting for the numerous bots, there just aren't that many real people on there, I think the guy really is just a greedy moron who saw an opportunity and then completely fucked it up, which isn't at all surprising since he's shown impulsive poor judgement in the past
I did a lot of reading, I added links in a comment. Many people have the same assessment I have.

I haven't even been to Reddit in months, and I'm better for this. The more I read, the more I see other agree that Reddit is intentionally trying to make people leave 3rd party. I hope everyone leaves altogether.

Reddit was always gay. When Google promotes it as the top internet forum for discussion over all other forums, then you know it is gay and controlled opposition. A place for google to monitor you.
I remember in the very old days 20+ years ago, search engines gave you decent result for all kinds of third party and private internet forums and discussion groups. Now you just get directed to reddit or twitter or fakebook which is, again, gay.
You never have to go to Reddit. There are articles about what's happening on Reddit.
