Most people never learned how to spell OR count and they are both the same study and are the source of names of most things. This would have had to have been KNOWN to NAME them as they were. Let that sink in.
Purely semantic connections made by a single individual (you know who) while sometimes interesting, doesn't explain much and is often clutching at straws, not to mention creating confusion. Many of the semantic connections he makes are 'real' in that they share SOURCEs.

However dyslexia isn't the only issue that can have an effect on spelling. It's been a while since it was explained to me, but sometimes people can read and write just fine, but they never mastered grammar for specific issue. It's called something. Basically schools recognize it in kids that have to be pulled out of class for other important issues, like speech pathology, or reading intervention. They can read and write well enough to pass, but sometimes it's not caught that they missed something.
