What the doctor recommends has more to do with how much or how often the insurance will pay for such routine work. Mammograms should not be given every year because the dose of radiation you get is not worth it. When Obamacare started they wanted to make them every two years (due to the science) but doctors started crying. Doctoring now days is all about the money....
