Yeah maybe law enforcement could have trouble getting the data but not intelligence agencies who have back doors built into the server equipment the VPN providers are relying on.
If you own all the relays, you can see what everyone is doing quite easily.

So true. As an example, there's a reason for black listing private server emails. Doesn't this article remind you of what happened before that messaging app was sold? I'm mixed up if it was signal or wire, or another name... Bit, that type of app. It was in the news for a situation like this, and then they were bought out.
