The ratio of solar energy to man's fuel-sourced energy is large. Meaning, the sun contribution overwhelms gasoline burning. The elite's position on this is bullshit handwaving. If the effect of the atmosphere in heat retention is small compared to the solar energy input, then the climate control effort is nonsense and just a power grab.
Also - and for the future - if the solar cycle reduces and we get less energy during some long cycle in the future, we will need to pump in man-sourced energy to keep the Earth warm. But if the current efforts by the elite to dismantle man's use of energy continue, we will not have the infrastructure to heat the Earth and may then enter an ice age. Humans have turned much of the earth's grasslands and forests into deserts. This is from commercial monocrop farming, removal of natural grazing animals and apex predators. Overgrazing and over/under stocking pasture. Artificial NPK fertilizers which temporarily increase crop yields, until micronutrients/minerals are depleted from soils leaving us with a dustbowl. Water diversions, etc.
