NATO is more about compulsory sales of enormously overpriced things to those who theoretically could make weapons by their own much cheaper and better along with development of their own industry. Even those members who made some weapons by themselves pay a huge patent fees for mandatory "NATO standard" things that are patented by US MIC. Without that payments weapons could not be certified for NATO standard and allowed for duty.
US itself occupied by same WEF/Bilderberg/whatever stooges as European countries that are NATO members. So, NATO adds nothing to the politics and narratives that are pushed. Also, NATO is not a greenlight for US troops on the ground, it is local politicians that are, regardless of membership in NATO.
Also NATO even do not prevent or prohibit hostilities between members, Turkey and Greece with their eternal war are excellent example.

That's part of the NATO.
However, once you are forced to join, all your data is intercepted and you share intelligence to NATO HQ.
Also, you have very little say on military base or nuclear arsenal deployment on your soil.
And you get to deploy your own citizens in far away conflicts for "peace keeping".
