Here's a clip including both confirmations. (that I know of) A more direct one was from Meghan McCain that cannot simply be misspeaking.

The video also shows McCain with a boot on his left leg. Before his execution there was something odd. McCain originally had his boot on his right leg. The boot was moved to his left leg and he explained it by saying that he had to give his right leg "a break". This is very odd unless he was forced to wear an ankle monitor, he was using a boot to cover it, and they moved the ankle monitor from his right leg to his left leg.

On CNN September 6, 2018 John Kasich confirmed John McCain's execution during a Chris Cuomo interview, which helped explain the wrinkled flag draped over his casket (traitor comms) at his funeral a few days prior. Kasich said "The other thing is when you look at the congress though, its like 24 hours since John McCain was put to death and look at this circus of a hearing that’s going on."
