This same group pumped Trump over his rivals in 2016, believing him unable to win the election. He was supposed to be a fall guy, to usher in a Hillary landslide. They believed their own polls that Hillary was way, way up and going to win. They stopped the count in the middle of the night in 2016 too, but didn't have ballots on the ready for the 3am dump.
