The usual retort by germ theory proponents is something like: "how do you explain why i got sick after [X]"? This question highlights not only the questioner's lack of critical thinking (the answer would obviously be 'anything NOT a viral infection'), but also the questioner's lack of understanding of germ theory of disease itself.
Germ theory postulates that the root cause of all disease/illness is a result of infection. The infection MUST precede the symptoms of illness (sniffles, fever, chills, mucus, diarrhea, etc.) else the premise is bunk. Most people assume the "sickness" is proof of an infection, that infection must have come from someone else, and that someone else must have been unknowingly sick to have allowed the infection to spread.
It is the most laughably absurd premise in medicine and has caused quite a few virologists to leave their field.
agreed 100%. No one sits and actually thinks critically about it. The NPC midframe = an invisible intelligent organism that's alive and dead at the same time can fly thru the air and infect others. illness has it has nothing to do with nutrients, stress, physical fitness, or environmental toxins even though theres proof for those things...
cant wait for the inevitable your wrong cus of muh chicken pox. that seems to be their go too cope

Yeah.. If it's a virus, then it wouldn't require close physical contact to contract.
