But how does that stop what these guys are doing? In the video the guy claims the main way they combat misinformation, is by ifiltrating forums and then trying to win over the side of the top users who then can steer the rest of the group.
Usually through this "Authorative" posting, which is where you attempt to discredit a post through any means so that it never gains traction in the first place.
I see that tactic here used all the time as well as in r/conspiracy.

You make very good points. Most people just trust turnkey solutions without care nor a deeper understanding. Everyone thinks Linux is fine because it's developed by guys on their underwear in their parents basement when in reality 93% of developers are big tech employees that serve only their interests and the government. The tiktok bill shows how the government can change the rules of the game to turn everyone into a criminal just because they don't hold the right opinions. So teaching people good opsec is a must despite the fact it's a hard concept to grasp.
