A Trip Through New York City in 1911 (www.youtube.com) History

World War I had not started yet. That was in 1914

The Titanic had not sunk yet. That was 1912

The Federal Reserve had not taken over the banking system yet. That wasn't until 1913

The Federal Income Tax passed in 1913. These people walking around owe no federal income tax, no social security tax, no medicare taxes. Their money can be traded in for gold at a fixed rate. No fiat currency.

This is when America had potential. Now it is a failing empire in decline

People were much better dressed and were polite. It wasn't as crowded.

He is 100% a shill.

The idea is to earn your trust with a filler post that’s benign, like this.

Before long he will be back to hate larping and shizo-larping in long, clearly AI generated walls of text.

He’s been caught several times doing this in response to someone else, by mistake, and completely ignoring context with his reply (making it obvious he’s using a bot).

If they came in via NYC, they probably would have experienced something similar to this.

How come they practically ALL wore hats?!?!

Was gonna point out the absolute lack of black people too. I only saw that one driver. When did New York switch from White to black?

Lots of umbrellas

Women don't even show any legs

What I love is no one staring into a cell phone.

I enjoyed that one reddit repost that was like "Remember when nobody was staring at their phones." and it's everybody staring at the news paper. People don't change.

Your attempt to blend in and seem sincere is noted.

How long before you are back to hate and shizo larping?

Most of the men are wearing derby hats. The mustached man in the car passenger seat is wearing a bowler hat.

In the deep south, women still wear those large big brim hats to church adorned with feathers, flowers, veils, ribbons, etc.

The kids usually wore knickers with knee socks. Golf caps.

Clothes were usually hand washed back then. They used nicer fabrics that were far more delicate, and higher grade material than the crap we buy today.

Leather boots seemed to be popular among both men and women of this time.

Women's dresses were worn slightly above the ankles in 1911. Now women wear their dress above their butt cheeks or just wear skin tight yoga pants so you can see everything even their camel toes and ass cracks.

Too bad people don't have themed parties, such as a 1910's fashion party. Instead people do gay things like pajama parties.

They had street sweepers routinely cleaning the streets. Necessary with horses.

People ate food that was more fresh. What do u keep in your fridge now? Most people have Nothing good in the freezers today. Frozen pizzas and chemical pot pies.

I do not get the impression that people look at past with rose colored glasses. They assume the past peoples were unrefined savages. Morons are brainwashed to think men in 2023 are most advanced of all human history. Just a good study of the history of literature should prove how illiterate and unsophisticated people are today compared to the 18th century and before. Civilization at large is in decline in more ways than one.

Personally I always wanted to time machine back to the wild west.

im just saying... penicillin wasnt even invented when this was filmed lol

the past had many things i envy.... family... charity... a sense of REAL community... men were men and women were women... and people were mostly God fearing

there are pros and cons to everything.. the problem is .. you can get stuck in the past and be depressed.. or living in the future of anxiety... be here and now... always live in the present...
