This Baphomet is a drawing by Eliphas Levi.
It's disturbing to look at, but the symbolism depicts the ancient god Hermes, in a more demonic fashion than the Greeks had depicted him. However, angels and demons are one of the same coin, often interchangeable.
The word hermaphrodite is a combination of the Greek gods Hermes and Aphrodite.
Andro (man) Gune (female) = androgynous.
Baphomet > Bahamut > > Mahamut> Mohammed. This word (mohammed) means "praiseworthy".
So..."the demonic hermaphrodite is praiseworthy".
Another interesting fact about this drawing by Levi is that it resembles his own name.
Eliphas - Aleph (sacred bull) Levi - Leviathan (water god)
If you combine a sacred bull with a water god, you kinda get the Baphomet. And this is basically what Capricorn is - a Sea Goat.
Most importantly, remember that this was an art piece by one guy. And his art spawned all this controversy.
That was late 1700s, it was because of a hoax on the Knight's Templar, their supposed relics?
It has since been turned into deviltry later, and a basis of occult symbolism. But if we go back to Lilith and Satan's union.
The entire Greek thing is a slight misconception anyway because it was all from an Illiad, a play, and not dedicated temples of worship. But those temples to fertility and older however fornicated with everything dogs, snakes, goats, bulls whatever, man, woman, child. They offered every type of flesh and perversion. Hence Sodom and Gamorrah was destroyed, the animal fuckers.
