Because if you try to withdraw cash you could possibly be denied or limited to do so. And don't think that it will not span over precious metals or whatever. World knows multiple cases of forced precious metal confiscations and bans. Knowledge and skills, f.e. can't be banned or confiscated in principle and they will always allow you to have food, roof and whatever you could need, regardless of mess around.
