Sure, but it's much easier for a US journalist to find her in the US. Otherwise they need to be allowed access into Canada, need to find out where she is in canada which we don't even know yet.
That move alone gets rid of 2/3rds of the journalists that would seek her out to ask the question. You think it's stupid to point that out?

Yes, she likely went to Canada to avoid having her family harassed with everything going on. This is in line with what’s she’s publicly stated.
The fact that all these people on the internet are even talking about her family indicates that she made the correct move.
I’m sure she’s thrilled at the thought of strangers grilling her kids about whether or not their dad is playing weekend at Bernie’s or not…
