He doesn't really know much about FTX directly, only that they are part of this mess, along with Blackrock.

Apparently Chapek was fired to prevent a vote on a new investor from coming in and saving the company. Which I assume is because they can't get their Blackrock bailouts if the company becomes profitable again.
