Even Bloomberg is reporting it's a wasteland, bleeding money and companies are abandoning it.
Also, there is NO:
enough VR headsets
enough consumer interest
any kind of content in there
enough GPU/CPU power to run it (client side)
To me feels like a rushed part of the plan that they had to bring forward and accelerate 3-5 years too early. The hw/demand/momentum just isn't here yet.
I follow that scene as well, but that's not there either.
Not even enough big screen TVs and CPU/GPU power to draw the content.
The infra just isn't there yet.
They need at least another 5 years of serious hardcore buying of RTX 3090 - 4090 gfx devices AND then the whole end-user display scenario (AR, VR, projection, screens, rollable displays).
None of those are working in terms of price/availability and certainly not in terms of installed base.
They can't ship, install and get hooked on 200-800 million display devices globally in 2-3 years.
Just ain't gonna happen, even if they gave them out for free to everyone.

Yeah, by 2027 I could barely imagine. This year, next year? No way....
I hope they're just swinging it and choke on their own shite.
