Considering all the businesses with "no cash" policies, it's not even legal tender anymore. If businesses can refuse to accept it as payment, it's just a barter good with no intrinsic value.

Now, a bank doesn't even want to pay out the money on a signed check when it says PAY TO THE ORDER OF VLAD TEPES III

They ignore the "pay to the order of" part and instead try to stall, contact the person who signed the check, charge you a processing fee, demand you open an account, etc.

Soon, in less than five years, banks will freeze your account and refuse to pay out any cash. It will be converted to digital currency and tracked.

Taking in everything done to this country in the last century or so, it amazes me how corrupt the government is, who are allegedly supposed to be serving the people.
