I watched a short documentary about Buffet a while back... Every morning his wife gives him his $4.50, or some amount, for him to drive down to the local fast food joint to buy his breakfast, of which he always get the exact same thing. He really came off as a clueless old man child to me.
That's the image that is purposefully crafted of him.
The guy is really worth billions and the people who've met him cutting deals say that he's one of the toughest negotiators and knows where to squeeze and knows money/banking/loans/credit/liquid inside-out - so has a lot of leverage in financial negotiations
