Reading this comment in the context of your dialogue with u/GynaNumbaZero, I get the feeling that you're just sick of trying to keep the lighthouse lit when all of the sailors are crashing into the rocks anyway, like a bunch of fucking retarded idiots. I think we all feel the same way at times. I don't think that it's necessary to devote your entire life to trying to warn people over and over when they are too stupid to take your advice after proving yourself right many times in a row. But I also don't think that you should allow that stupidity to change your demeanor, which can ultimately lead to a change in your ethical framework (e.g., "fuck it, might as well join the bad guys" mentality kicks in, eventually).
I think it's important to stay true to what your instinct and your inner self understanding tells you, rather than giving up on those feelings and thoughts out of frustration. For example, somebody in my wife's family ignored my wife's extremely strongly worded and well-repeated advice and took the poison anyway, in 2021, and then had a massive stroke (2 days later - I'm sure unrelated... /s). Because it's somebody my wife cares about, now she is helping her, despite her stupidity. I think when you finally give up and say "fuck it just die", it changes who you are inside and there's no more reason to ever have ethics again, which makes you the bad guy. Ultimately, choosing to be the bad guy this way is even worse than being inducted into some secret society, because at least those people are being promised something; for those of us who just capitulate and say "fuck it", there's only shame to be gained when you return to those fleeting moments of self-awareness.
I think the tl;dr is something like, "it's constant hard work to not give up when 95% of your efforts are wasted, but when the battle is over, the remaining 5% will have mattered more than you can predict."

Thanks, and same for me (I get the same disillusionment "black pill" at times).
Thanks man
That sounds like...Genocide Fanboy?? Most people have a loved one that took the killshot.
Its going to be a slow grind. They can't have shtf, it's our best survival option at this point.
Living implies that.
HU'MAN, adjective [Latin humanus; Heb. form, species.] implies AN'IMAL, noun [Latin anima, air, breath, soul.]...animation implies progression.
What can the living keep within the progress of dying?
