Nothing funny, really. There could be much more casualities.
There is rumors that helicopter crush was a retaliation to Internal Affairs tops for trying to interfere with Defence Ministry business of selling NATO weapons to third parties. Ministry os Internal Affairs began investigation on ways NATO weapons flee to third-party countries and suddenly collided with Ministry of Defence tops. Presumably, parties had not come to agreement on price. So, AD do the job by the order of Ministry of Defence.
Other versions:
That Eurocopter Pumas are not the best and most reliable helicopters and have a bad record of accidents, without proper service that bird could break by itself.
Trying to command pilots is not rare thing among elites. That top dumbfucks think that they know everything better and could easily force pilots do stupid things. Flying over towns at low altitude is not something pilots will do by their will. May be some could remember similar accident with Poland president Kachinsky, who ordered pilots to land in unacceptable weather conditions and crushed his plane near Smolensk. All died.
Good insights, I honestly really have no clue aside from what lies the media pundits have provided mixed with the memes.
I heard two takes so far aside from your inputs:
1.) flying too low in fog, clipped building? wtf?
2.) Air defense hit them and on the way down clipped the building, this seems most likely given what has been happening with all the friendly fire for the past year.
That top bureacrats too afraid of Russian AA strike that forced pilot to fly as low as possible.
Possible too, but they was too deep in Ukrainian territory and helicopter definitely does not look like Mi-28 or Ka-52 visually or on radar. So, if it was hit by AD, with high probability it was intentional, not by mistake.
Yea, I suppose but for me this seems like a stretch, As you say it's pretty deep in territory, Russia has generally been from what I understand mostly active in the areas of conflict, kiev is not really currently that. Sure some missiles go, but not rockets.
I think your suggestion about a likely infighting between the evil in the hordes makes the most sense to me.
