How does a flat disk produce shadows and surface features that make it look just like a sphere and which change according to its position?
If the moon is a light source why does it go through a cycle of illumination that corresponds exactly with how it would be lit if the Earth was round?
The moon does not have a hot spot, or lighting that fades in respect to the light source. It is not lit like a sphere reflecting light. The moon cycle changes according to its proximity to the sun; it is an electromagnetic relationship.
