Tesla has earned billions already through its regulatory carbon credit sales. This allows other automakers to meet emissions regulations and avoid billions in fines.
Tesla has been getting paid by other carmakers for selling its carbon credits for years whose names used to be a secret.
But a report from Bloomberg revealed two famous names. These are General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). About how much exactly they’re buying, it’s between them and Tesla.
Tesla’s regulatory carbon credit sales account for over 20% of its profits this quarter.

What a racket.
Its different because a corporation has to sell a product that people want at a price they can afford to pay. Walmart still has to have good prices inside or the customers go away. Government puts us into trillions in debt. Amazon still has anything you can think of at your house in 2 days with no shipping fee. As shitty as they might be to work for, they at least still have to consider the customer. Does socialist government have to consider you and get you good services?
Seriously? Corporations want to sell a product that will bring maximum profit. What people really want doesn't matter at all. There is propaganda machine named "advertising" that push necessary narrative telling customers what they have to want.
And you still talking about things outside corporation. I'm talking more about how corporation looks inside. And inside corporation you coud find only extreme socialism all way long. There is absolutely nothing capitalistic inside corporation. Absolute totaliarism, hierarchy, no any democracy at all, total planning, kind of social free services for workers (from free lunch to free showers) as the mirage of compensation for lowest possible payments, when most of profit made by employees is taken out by corporation top and owners. Fuck, USSR even gave more back to citizens(employees) and expropriated less. That is the only difference between any corporation and USSR.
From 1.5 to 5 times more expensive than on aliexpress for same china crap. And again you completely missing the point, trying to shift conversation to the outside manifestations of corporations. While I'm talking about how corporations work inside. And inside they have total, extreme socialism.
And inside Amazon you will find absolute socialism with Bezos as General Secretary of Socialist Amason Party whose ideology and orders are obligatory for workers. Those who protest are punished and has no any perspective.
Socialist goverments don't give a shit about his citizens, but always try to look perfect externally using all means including external propaganda.
Literally in the same way, corporations don't give a shit about their employees, but try to look perfect externally using all means including external propaganda they name "advertising" that is much worse and have much more lies than similar external propaganda of any socialist government.
Corporations, their owners and top managers - are extreme socialists. Worse than any socialist state with its state political party and state bureaucrats ever. North Korea looks pretty nice in comparison with any more or less known corporation.
And don't try to shift that question again, to the outside image of corporations. I'm talking about inside structure and working of corporations, not their external propaganda and weak attempts to play free market outside.
I actually agree with and enjoy your comparison of socialist government to big corporations. I can see what you're saying. But altogether government is a different beast, a far more dangerous beast, because it operates completely outside the realm of consent, unlike a legitimate free market corporation.
There could not be consent, if you don't have a choice. Today, for employee there is not much choice among corporations. Everywhere he will find same totalitarism of "ruling class", without any signs of free market inside corporations.
Only small businesses today give their employees some sense of freedom and democracy in relations between employer and employees. In smal businesses, at least, you could just talk with boss about changing salary because of inflation or take a few days off, just because you want, deny to do some stupid shit and what is more important - to succesfully convince your boss that it is a total shit. All that stuff that represent kind of free market inside enterprise. But corporations colluded with state to destroy small business now. And further it goes, you have less and less possibility to find a job in a nice and friendly place instead of corporate socialist slavery.
You can quit a corporation and go get a different job. Could Russians "quit Russia" and just leave whenever they want? Can Chinese? North Koreans? East Berlinners? I recall reading that people were shot for trying to climb the Berlin Wall. Are people shot when they try to quit Amazon?
No. And it is not because Russia somehow hold them or do not allow to leave. But because other
corporationsstates are in the same cartel trying to prevent that kind of migration between owners and do not accept those who just want to "change owner". It is nearly impossible to acquire permanent residence, not even talking about citizenship of another state. And it is not only Russin citizens could not do it freely. Try, say, to leave US and settle in, say, Germany without eneormous amount of money or selling yourself to some German employer on very unpleasant conditions.Nearly same thing was in USSR, but only for Jews. If you are Jew, you are free to leave at anytime. Others, to be allowed to leave had to prove for the state that their "new owner" will definitely accept them - job offer, marriage to the citizen of another state, whatever reason had to be presented.
In corporations things are much worse - you could leave, but first you have to "finish your job", "transfer all knowledge to successor and teach him" and do anything top managers tell you to leave freely and have a chance to find a new job in another corporation. If you ultimately leave without fulfilling all your obligations and demands of employer, than you could even be fined for "breaking contract before the term", and other corporation hardly will accept you for similar job level without positive letter from your previous employer. And there is nonzero probability that you will be unemployed for significant time after that. Today things become much worse. If you somehow fall under "not obeying agenda", nobody from cartel will hire you.
