What did you have in mind? I had thought about mining into the mountain behind our house and creating a sealed bunker, but I'm pretty sure the pressure from the water would collapse the mine. We would probably also run out of oxygen before the water receded.
I suppose we could try to relocate to higher altitude, but all of this preparation on a 'what if' is hard to justify. If we had concrete data that confirmed this scenario within x amount of years, I would probably be more motivated to relocate to higher ground. Unfortunately, if this scenario is true, then the ultrawealthy and military groups have probably already claimed all of the best survival spots.
If this theory is correct, I'll bet Starlink is just a bunch of emergency cargo supply drops that will dump technology containers back to earth after the movement settles. Or maybe a way of making a global internet that can survive the cataclysm.
Anyway, I wonder how many of them plan to be up in orbit (assuming it is safe) during this event.
I dont think living through the event is the issue.
The lucky ones will die. If it is indeed the end of this interglacial.
The foods gonna run out pretty quick and with no sun and rain to grow more, things are gonna get dire real quick. Like watch the fuck out your neighbors might try to eat you type crazy.
