Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

The word translated as "Holy Ghost" is "pneuma", and conventionally this is the Holy Spirit of the Trinity. As a working hypothesis, I've wondered whether the "Holy Spirit" actually refers to the "Spirit of True Care", which dwells within (at least some of) us and impels us to act in for the good of others, which is to say morally.
So in practice, if you don't always act with the Spirit of True Care, that may be forgiven as with other sins. But if you blaspheme against it, which is to say that you counsel others to violate the Spirit of True Care, that will not be forgiven.
Of course one can see that counseling others to such violation enables the spread of evil, so yeah, maybe that should be unforgivable.
