Just finished top Nazi double agent Dusko Popov's autobiography. One key takeaway from the book was how amorphous many top Nazi's loyalties were. The points made by Bjerknes seem a little more believable in that light.
The Germans had their fair share of spies; Wilhelm Canaris, Hjalmar Schacht and Ludwig Beck are sufficient examples. But to me this still does not support Bjerknes thesis.
