Many of the etchings are pretty gruesome. Still it shouldn’t be left out of history. These aren’t mythical illustrations, he was documenting what he saw and even wiki says this... although a debatable source no doubt... historians also seem to take his work as documentary. Interesting how wealthy people will buy his work at auction for a very high price but we hear nothing about these encounters in education.

I don't think they were myth at all...I think they were the original.... civilization.
The reason....is they didnt win the history battles.....and they were wiped out...and likely had their culture either destroyed or claimed....much like roman days.

Could possibly be surviving tribes from previous century viking expeditions to the new world.
