I've been listening to lots of classical music the last month.

It relaxes me. I feel more focused, have more articulate thoughts, less stress.

The repetition in modern pop culture music, with repetitive drum loops and looped synth sounds and samples sometimes causes my own mind to get loopy, repeat short thoughts, become agitated, etc. For example, hip hop is BOOM BOOM BAP, BOOM BOOM BAP. pop culture much the same. looped 4 bar beats with electronic synthesized drum sounds is boring and lacks depth.

Classical music feels like it is constantly evolving and allows my thoughts to evolve more.

Example of what I've been listening to lately. A playlist of songs like this:

Debussy plays Debussy | La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin (Girl with the Flaxen Hair), Prélude No.8 (1913) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv8iHEM4g7Q
