If you visit a link to Bloomberg, that is mentioned as a source of info about chips from washing machines, you will find only
A major industrial conglomerate has resorted to buying washing machines and tearing out the semiconductors inside for use in its own chip modules, according to the CEO of a company central to the chipmaking supply chain.
So, again nothing about salvaging chips from washing machines. Yes, you could scrap discrete parts for making modules, but in any case it is weird to buy whole washing machine for that. There are tons of old computers for that, with much more parts per mass. People change computers much more often, than washing machines, so there are even no need to buy out them, you could get them for free as garbage.
Russians are retards who are dooming their own civilization over occupying some Ukrainian shithole, thats true.
Strange, but that lead to the best thing that happened with our industry for 30 years. There are ressurection of almost every important industry going, from semiconductors manufacturing to plastic synthesis.
If only that IMF/WTO crap will be wiped out of here along with abandoning international laws about patents and all that stuff that put the brakes on development...
Looks like that only war with Ukraine forced West to seize abroad assets stolen by Russian Federation western ass licking oligarchs and bureaucrats and force them to think about their own country instead of their Westrn villas and yachts.
Interesting, that seizing Western assets of Russian Federation elite was the main point of Navalny opposition, but for some reason, when things turned bad for Navalny, his Western masters quickly betrayed him and don't do anything. But when the active war started the same assets was quickly seized like the West wanted to do something good for Russia for involving in war on Donbass.
Same thing with resources. It is widely popular opinion here, that Russia should not sell its raw resources abroad, that we should use and process them here and sell more advanced products, not raw materials. And magically, West again did what is good thing for Russia - impose that stupid self-harming sanctions on Russian export of raw materials.
Looks like Russian authorities just did what West needed them to do and Russia as a country received a reward from the West. And even annexation of part of LARP Ukraine state is not something that assumed inapropriate by Russians in Russia and Ukraine.
So, all that mess with war is something that was necessary for the West, and to get it, West paid Russia a lot, creating all conditions for ressurection of Russian industry, that thoroughly had been destroyed by Western shills for decades before.

It is just a kind of DIY research article, about specific VFD found in authors washing machine. That does not mean that this is done in mass production. Different barands and versions have different VFDs, it will be nearly impossible to use random washing machines to source VFD for mass production.
IDK, may be one manufacturer could give a discount for new washing machine in exchange for specific old model of specific brand and reuse VFDs and other parts, including stabilising weights and cast mounts in new machines. But as I mentioned earlier, old washing machines is long-lasting things, and manufacturer hardly will have a constant supply of broken ones. The only way it is possible is planned obsolescence, say washing machine will not allow more than 500 washes and then lock indefinitely, so customer will have to bring it to manufacturer to get a discount for new one.
VFD shit is always kinda a pain to source in my experience.
Go to aliexpress and look for VFDs - tons of them. Long ago I bought $50 device to run 3 phase motor for belt grinder, still works without problems.
Russia's fucked man..
Russia is fucked all way long, for millenias. We are still here, if you interested.
it's going to be real hard to get shit going with sanctions...
No. It is easier with sanctions, than without them. I told you, that this sanctions is the best thing that happened with Russia since USSR fall.
They should have started with that goal, to tell the world to fuck off, and go their own way. Invading Ukraine was fuggin' dumb and totally unnecessary.
But Russian Federation athorities had no goal to tell the world to fuck off. They don't even have a goal to do something useful for Russia. They thoughts was only about buying villas and yachts on the West. Only invading Ukraine and following seizing their western assets and cutting ways to funnel Russian wealth to private bank accounts abroad made them do something useful for country.
If invading Ukraine was the only way to stop that stealing everything to West, so, let it be. In any case it is already done and hardly anybody could have been able to prevent this, since it was planned and prepared long ago and definitely not by Russians. It is perfectly sane to accept it and use benefits that mess gives.
