Why/how would the imaginary friend become of a certain age and is that fluid?

No I don't want an 'answer'.

I'm thinking Matt Fraser might want to meditate harder on the symbol of the feather in Egyptian Death Cult mythology.

This sounds crazy, but read it anyway.

My little sister had two imaginary friends because sometimes one wouldn't play with her. Fast forward, and my youngest son has a guardian angel. He's learner's that if he hears the angel he's not where its safe, and he gets out of there,

Which has led me to believe my sister didn't have imaginary friends. She was playing with her angels.

Yes. The reality is that schizophrenics who hear voices, are probably both crazy and hearing real spirits.

We don't have that ailment in my family. But, I can tell you that angel kept my son safe multiple times. AB has a podcast on Daemons if you are interested in the topic.

Sure, I wasn't suggesting that. Just saying that the stereotype of "voices in head" indicating insanity is an example of the fallacy of correlation vs causation.
