Probably usually you had a customer who need some process organized. You force him to buy stuff from vendors you select and connect everything together according to vendors howtos. Probably you don't even bother, what is the real and final purpose of customer process, does it even necessary, and how real customer problem could be solved in KISS way.
System integrator is just a third-party sales manager for solutions of vendors on his list, instead of person who have to solve customer problem.
I never meet any ot that guys who solved real customer problem in most efficient way.
