Was Tesla right?
posted 3 years ago by ConservativeRyan 3 years ago by ConservativeRyan +5 / -2

I've heard that Tesla dreamed of creating mechanisms to generate free, unlimited energy, and that he was stopped from doing so by his peers, in especial Thomas Edison. Was he right? Did he actually have a way to produce unlimited energy? Has anyone been able to replicate such a machine?

As I perceive it, Nikola had an antenna tuned to the Schumann resonances

(SR) are a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field spectrum.

he appears to be using a massive tuned dipole to induct a very high(V), low frequency A/C voltage into his coils, from which he could transform down into a lower voltage, higher current. How he could wirelessly broadcast energy is a mystery to me. but radio and data is feasible.

It is a same thing as happens in coaxial cables. Just imagine that Earth and its ionosphere is a kind of spherical coaxial cable. Or, say, it is a short piece of coaxial cable with cut ends shielded.

Theoretically, if you send RF energy into coaxial cable, it mirroring from inner core and shield and pass through with minimum losses. Same with Earth - if you send electromagnetic waves that fit that Earth-sized coax in one place, they could be gathered with little losses in any place on Earth with apropriate receiver.

However, the real thing could be much more complex to achieve, and with completely unknown side effects from radiating RF power sufficient for something useful into the gap between Earth and ionosphere. HAARP could look like a child toy in comparison.

So, even if Tesla's idea was definitely brilliant, that does not mean it really deserve to be implemented.
