Humans are omnivorous creatures. And perfectly eat everything edible. Snails, shrimps, crabs, even china grasshopers. Everything that could be grown/caught and cooked is in our menu for the millenias.
The thing with "ze bugz", they force, is that they are not edible. Humanity survived multiple starvations, and nowhere nobody could make worms and bugs edible even facing death from starvation. You can't make worms and bugs edible at home. You need a complex factory process to separate edible proteins from poisons and harmful stuff in worms and bugs.
And, obviously, only corporations could build a factory for worms and bugs processing. You are not able to grow that perfectly breeding worms for your own food. That is the catch.
So, corporations force "eat ze bugz", prohibit everything you could grow by yourself, and then sell the cheapest possible for them proteins for all your money.
So, don't "eat ze bugz", fuck all legislations and grow your own food.
You will not believe me, but many products in Soviet Russia was much better than those you could buy now. Fresh milk in any grocery or supermarket that is not rot, but curdle as it suppose to do and you could make home cheese from it, meat without antibiotics and other crap, that is not excrete half of it as liquid when you fry meat on the pan, bread, dairy, all basic stuff. Without all that E additions and soy protein. Of course, there was crap food in Soviet Russia and there was no much choice, but basic things was definitely better than modern crap you find today in any country.
Of course, you could buy normal products today too, but they are not in every store, you have to put some effort to find them and they are not cheap.
You're talking about 60s USSR. It has literally NOTHING to do with what I meant.
What I meant is the Stalinist era, where you're not eating bugs, you're eating soil and wild plants, suffering from typhoid and dying because father Stalin has labeled you a Kulak.
May be you mean Jewish Bolshevik era? It was Trotsky, Apfelbaum, Tukhachevsky and other jews who labeled anyone with food as kulak and steal everything they could find. That period ended when Stalin take over all power and began to kill the jews in power and eventually, at the end of 30s, starvation in USSR was fully defeated. WWII created a lot of problems, but real heavy starvation was only in encircled by Geramns Leningrad(St.Petersburg). After WWII USSR was first country in Europe that drop food rationing. There was no problems with food since 1947. After Stalin death, quality and variety of food slightly dropped, but basic products still stayed better than modern one.
Stalin was just a secretary of communist party and had no full power till 1937. Stalin was a tyrant who dreamed about powerful empire, and he did everything to build it. He was not stupid at all and perfectly understand that he can't built his powerful empire with starving population. So, he eliminated every jew in government whose goal was extermination of Russians. Being tyrant does not mean that you have to starve your population. Defeated jews hate Stalin, so they wrote completely wrong version of history, moving all their sins to the hated Stalin. That does not mean that Stalin was a good guy, he was different from them, with different goals.
