Not the best option, I think. AFAIK, in US physical metals was once expropriated from people and there was no any significant resistance. So, they could repeat that anytime.

I think the best investments in our clown world is skills and/or tools. Unlike all that money stuff, both will feed you in any circumstances.

As for doomed... IDK, may be normies are, but that does not mean that we doomed too.
