I am intrigued by flat earth evidence and arguments, but I'm not yet convinced.
That doesn't mean I'm smarter than you, or that you're stupid, or any reason for the condescending insults that so often accompany such a debate. I actually think it is healthy to debate this. People have been debating earth models for thousands of years. It's not settled science. The globe model still makes sense to me, but I'm interested in viewing and reading the flat earth arguments and believe that the debate will carry on for years. Maybe I will be persuaded one day. Unless I'm in outer space viewing a globe Earth from afar, all I can rely on is satellite images not being faked.
I still don't get the flat earth explanation for a sun set. In the flat earth model the sun moves around the flat earth, which means it shouldn't be setting from where I'm at but just getting smaller as it flies away to another part of the flat earth, getting smaller like a plane in the air flying away from me, which doesn't set on the horizon.
Like I've said in another thread.
