I notice that a lot of the companies are run at the very top by rich oligarchs and connected people, but they are not the ones who implement anything.
Instead they get a lot of young 'geniuses' who they promote as being wizards at whatever, but normally they are just well educated, well-off rich families whose kids had access to everything growing up, but who don't actually have much real world experience.
They don't typically have normal career paths, and instead are 'fadttracked' to the top.
I think this is because once you have experience you realise that ideals are dangerous and most often don't really work despite beat intentions, but the elite know this and instead get passionate but naive bright stars and burn them out before they know any better. Then they throw away the honest ones they cannot corrupt or keep working like a machine
Probably was conditioned to take on a more liberal mindset by the higher ups and he probably was seeing it as a chance to show himself as being able to deliver....
