Lol I don't see how this settles anything. For centuries people successfully used sextants whether you thought it was flat or spherical. Columbus even used them when he was wrong about how big the earth is. Whether we use a Mercator projection map or a azimuthal equidistant projection, they both have lines of latitude and longitude over them that we can plot ourselves on.
Shit during world War 2 the primary map that was used by military vessels and planes was the 'ww2 air map of the world', Google it and tell me what that looks like.

if Earth wasn't a globe, you wouldn't need a sextant to correct for refraction etc - as the sextant does.
