as i recall...
digg was awesome.
basically got overwhelmed with 9/11 truth posts
digg started banning 9/11 truth posters, and boosting completely useless content.
about that time, reddit/r/politics started catching the 9/11 truth movement that was spilling over / migrating from digg.
digg got super lame, and /r/politics became the 9/11 truth hotspot.
conde naste bought reddit.
reddit started pulling a "digg" - banning 9/11 truth posters and pushing 9/11 content to a new subreddit called "r/conspiracy".
r/conspiracy became the de-facto 9/11 truth forum, now nicely mixed-in with the the flat-earthers...#missionaccomplished
We're not doing too great either, axo. You better get your house in order. Topics such as flat earth, low-brow race-related content, clones, reptilians, and a heap of other stuff that is really good at muddying the water and associating conspiracies with being a retard...they have gotten real popular here real fast. We are being actively and purposefully diluted.
Happened in 2015.
