basically got overwhelmed with 9/11 truth posts
digg started banning 9/11 truth posters, and boosting completely useless content.
about that time, reddit/r/politics started catching the 9/11 truth movement that was spilling over / migrating from digg.
digg got super lame, and /r/politics became the 9/11 truth hotspot.
conde naste bought reddit.
reddit started pulling a "digg" - banning 9/11 truth posters and pushing 9/11 content to a new subreddit called "r/conspiracy".
r/conspiracy became the de-facto 9/11 truth forum, now nicely mixed-in with the the flat-earthers...#missionaccomplished
