Sweet. I've wondered this myself. Raging fires was never the norm.
Raging fires are the norm since the modern environmental movement saw all fires as bad, and not clearing out the underbrush.
Remember Trump talking about "raking the fores"t and the left went apeshit to mock him? Turns out Finland clears out dead brush with rakes, which helps prevent large fires.
