Pretty sad you can't even Google something... Sounds are vibration, and how we perceive them. Take away the observer, it's just vibration, which is limited by energy input. The medium in which a vibration is generated may limit the capacity for that vibration to propagate, but doesn't contribute to the intensity of the initial source of the vibration.
"The fire isn't hot because it's far away" is a pretty dumb argument.
Rockets are loud, have tremendous forces, and are weight dependent. Only so much you can put on before it's to heavy.
Just look into Gus Grissom and how/why he was murdered. Maybe then you'll get off of NASA's DoD dick and use your brain.
