There were never any overloaded hospitals! They planted the stories and ran them largely outside of the affected zones so there was no casual first hand experience to refute it.
Every overloaded hospital story is BS. Check John Hopkins for overload schedules, who officially tracks it. Easily refuted. I called hospitals myself. It was all BS.
do you remember those videos about people busting into hospitals in new york, l.a, chicago, and other places and there were like...15 people there? if that? and some doctors and nurses were standing around? and the ambulances were all lined up outside made to look like people were just dropped off? and there was caution tape around every hospital with quarantine zones?
Skyrisonridge faaarrrrmmm remembers ;)
The largest hospital in my area, at the start of the pandemic at least, was almost entirely empty or shutdown. And it was like that because they cancelled most routine operations etc. From what I was told they had something like 800 beds set aside for covid patients, and only 40 were in use. So the staff had literally nothing to do.
