i'm not unsympathetic to that, but cops in the U.S. are just too much of an undue hazard to innocent Americans to be anything less than vitriolic. by repeated personal experience, they've well-earned it.
I mean, for the most part you aren't wrong but also some police officers are just dumb oafs doing the best they can with the hand they were dealt.
I'm with you in disrespecting the badge, but I think there's at least 50% of the humans wearing those badges who don't mean any harm to anyone.
Speaking generally, I don't know what these specific officers were like. I just think a decent man getting burned smells awful.
