Yup, crepuscular rays demonstrate that.. If the sun was so far away, the rays would be parallel; the rays diverge from the point of the sun and are not parallel.
faulty logic, the rays hit the atmosphere and spread outwards. i think the earth is concave by the way, like the Nazi's did. Eratosthene's only proves that the light path could be bending... not necessarily the earth.
The atmosphere can have effects on light but what about a flashlight's focused beam even though the light is traveling through the atmosphere? It can be observed that the beam follows a narrow path with little to no effects from atmosphere besides fading over a distance of the earth.
The flashlight beam is traveling through the same atmosphere though. The scatter/bending happens when Sun hits atmosphere because it’s passing from one medium to another.
Notice the same bending does occur at the lesen of the flashlight as the light crosses over mediums.
This may be true. But this is partly because the greeks were rediscovering math.
Whoever built the horoscope would have had the knowledge required to be perfectly accurate, something modern science cant do. Because we still do not fully understand our own little sector of the galaxy.
Pluto was found because someone hundreds of years ago was looking for why the motion of the planets in our solar system is off. Mainstream science today cannot explain these motions unless there is another massive body outside of it. Something like planet 9/X.
Whoever shared that knowledge to the Babylonians, and then onto the Egyptians. Must have known whats lurking out there.
How else could you build a mega structure 10,000 years ago that was built to mark the precession of the equinox's and its solstice's to this day.
People often talk about the logistics of something like the great pyramid. But rarely does anyone ever think about the massive amount of planning and math/engineering that would go into a structure that size.

This is a great point. Have you ever seen the John Anthony West produced show called “Magical Egypt”? It’s all about the wisdom encoded into the construction of a couple of different sites of ancient Egypt. Highly recommend to anyone interested!
