Can almost guarantee this is orbital mechanics. Jupiter and the other large mass planets shift the center of the solar system ever so slightly. Jupiter has an 11.8 year orbit. Saturn is 29.something. Neptune and Uranus might not matter much, but add it up and get them all on the same side of the solar system every so often and Earth is going to have an odd orbit getting further and closer to the sun for extreme seasonal weather.
Throw in some variation in Earth’s axial tilt and get further complexities.
That top graph does look like a very, very regular 1100 year cycle. Looks like the hot period only lasts for 20-50 years so we might see the end of this in the next decade or two.
Actually rising CO2 IS present in those cases. In all cases including the modern one rising CO2 precedes rather than follows rising temperatures.
There are other studies that show the CO2 trailed the warming.
