This is just bad farming methods. No birds eating the grasshoppers. Like free range chickens, or ducks, and other natural birds. Farming methods have destroyed their habitats, and don't farm that land in coexistence. Next it's the crickets, big problem in Africa and Asia. Birds, would eat them right up. They can eat like twice their body weight. But big farms have stripped the land of trees, pesticides the crops. China releases ducks and geese on its locusts. Literally release ostriches, or chickens, and other birds, they devour them. Or chemical that shit. But it does more harm to the other wildlife.
Besides these crickets have probably been modified. They've been released. Now everybody buys pesticides, other farming methods, or some shit making the problem worse. It's all part of the recession agenda.
