Bang on.
I think he is honestly seeking truth but he lived his whole life (as most boomers do) completely blind to the lies behind so many of our public institutions. I don't know if it's even possible for him to wake up to the fact that these institutions are not being corrupted, but merely revealing their true nature.
Now he's caught in a no-man's land. On the one side are the boomers, entrenched in the lies that gave them everything; on the other a generation preparing to burn everything down to the ground, the only way to eliminate the rot.
He can see the edges of what's happening and has the courage to call it out (little too late, in this case), but he just can't grasp the idea that those in power his whole life would gladly kill us all for a buck, and always would; it's only now they feel confident to try it.
I just wish millenials had half the courage and integrity he's shown.
Wow, yes, indeed. He and the whole "intellectual dark web", but especially him, are just like what you say. And I still love my copy of 7 rules for life too.
