I have seen Click & Collect for retail food stores at train stations - order in the morning, collect on the way home.
It kind of makes sense as it reduces the "last mile problem" which Uber Eats & Deliveroo type services try to solve. If deliveries to the Collection Point can be consolidated that reduces costs (& carbon footprint if you care about that).
Not that I think it is a great idea overall. Outsourcing all of your cooking is weird to me, restaurant & take-away food is usually high calorie (lots of fat) and going to the restaurant is for the event not the just the food.
It keeps all the unsightly uber eats deplorables out of your friendly neighborhood applebees. Wouldn’t want
One’s fat white entitled suburban wife chowing down on n*sync babybacks to actually put a face to the name she can’t pronounce and refuses to tip who rode in on a George Soros raft.
I think that is a new concept.
