Classically,
The origin is a reference to advisors to some king, one on each side. voicing opinions in contrast on issues the king in question desired input on.
However in simple terms it can be defined as:
Left wants more government control
Right wants more personal freedom
Initially the concept of leftism has some nice features that support humans and make scaling into the future more feasible enforcing a defined structure from the top down.
However, since all the people that operate in government are criminals, for hundreds of years humans have been suffering under the control of greedy criminals that quest for power, they use leftism to maintain control as the ideals are compatible.
The left for a long time has represented the criminal structures used to control and manipulate wealth power and information.
Mostly everything we see talking about the right is wrong and usually referencing the lefts ideals.
That is the prevailing idea on r/conspiracy. You might have to go back. I want guns, I want ammo. I want to be responsible with my limited capacity. I want to ensure the success of a dying breed. I want so many other things. It's getting rough though with the bannings/ canceling.

What do your desires have to do with the etymology of Left / Right?
No it isn't.
The Right is so called because that is the hand at which one sits next to Jesus in the afterlife.
In the French Revolution the people who supported the King's Veto over Parliament because of the Divine Right of King's called themselves The Right.
The Not Right, i.e. Left supported Parliament's Veto over the King.
